Frequently Asked Questions
What vehicles use 0W-40 motor oil?
0W-40 is commonly used in European vehicles (Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, Audi), Chrysler SRT models, Nissan GT-R, and GM Corvette. Check your owner's manual to confirm the correct viscosity.
Is 0W-40 good for cold weather?
Yes. With a pour point of -50°C (-58°F), Signature Series 0W-40 flows readily in extreme cold while the 40-weight rating provides robust protection at operating temperature.
Is this a good choice for my L87 6.2l if I pass the GM Recall?
Yes - perfect choice. AMSOIL Signature Series 0w-40 is a great choice to protect your L87 when GM recommends you switch from 0w-20 to 0w-40.

I’ve been using Amsoil for several years now. It’s not cheap, but well worth the price.
Great Product
Amsoil has protected me for years now all my engines never had an issue. All the research I’ve done leads to amsoil being the superior product among the oil masses
The only oil you need
I’ve been running AMSOIL in my 2020 Jeep Gladiator Mojave and I’m seriously impressed. The engine runs noticeably smoother and quieter, even after long drives and hard use. I do a mix of highway, city, and off-road driving, and AMSOIL has held up perfectly in all conditions. Throttle response feels sharper, and I’ve had zero issues with performance or oil consumption. It gives me real peace of mind knowing my Gladiator is protected, especially in extreme heat and rugged terrain. Definitely worth the investment—I’ll be sticking with AMSOIL from here on out.

I have been using Amsoil signature series synthetic oil since 2005. Best synthetic oil I have ever put in any of my engines.
1 Note: Engineered to meet the updated GM service requirements for the L87 6.2L engine. As GM transitions away from 0W-20 to a higher-viscosity 0W-40 specification to enhance engine longevity and component protection, our formula provides the exact shear stability and film strength required for this updated service interval.
