HP Marine — DFI and E-TEC Factory-Lean Protection
HP Marine’s exclusive synthetic formulation provides increased lubricity for reduced wear during normal and lean-mix operation.
In field testing on a 40-hp Evinrude E-TEC outboard owned by a northern Minnesota fishing outfitter, HP Marine prevented piston ring sticking and piston scuffing after a full season of rental use at the motor’s factory-lean setting.
Formulated with MAXDOSE, a system of advanced additives for super-clean operation. In field testing, HP Marine prevented ring sticking and ring jacking (carbon buildup behind the ring, forcing it outward) — a phenomenon that occurs in modern DFI outboard motors — and virtually eliminated exhaust port deposits.
Low aquatic toxicity: HP Marine achieved a 100% survival rate in both the OECD Guideline 203 Fish Acute Toxicity Test and the OECD Guideline 202 Daphnia Acute Immobilization Test.
Use: Two-stroke marine applications that specify TC-W3, including Johnson/Evinrude (FICHT, E-TEC), Mercury EFI and Optimax, Yamaha, Nissan, Tohatsu TLDI, Suzuki, Mariner, Force. Injection oil or 50:1 pre-mix (2.6 oz. per U.S. gallon).
100:1 Pre-Mix Outboard Oil — Lean-Ratio, Smokeless
AMSOIL 100:1 Pre-Mix Synthetic 2-Stroke Outboard Oil is engineered with low-temperature dispersants that reduce varnish and carbon deposits to help eliminate plug fouling and promote rapid throttle response in water-cooled outboard motors.
Its environmentally friendly low-smoke, low-odor, low-toxicity properties produce fewer emissions at 100:1 mix ratios than other oils mixed at 50:1. Delivers superior lubricity and anti-wear protection at the lean 100:1 mix ratio, inhibits rust and corrosion, and improves ignition, idling and throttle response.
Use: Pre-mixed in two-stroke outboard motors, personal watercraft and jet boats that specify TC-W3. For maximum performance, mix with gasoline at 100:1 regardless of OEM mix-ratio guidance.
